Pork steaks in mustard sauce
Dinner
Based on the Nigel Slater recipe, my version of a French classic.
Cooking method: Pan fry
Serves: 2
Time: Average - 30 to 60 minutes
Difficulty: Average - a standard adult who feeds themself could do it
Equipment
- Frying pan
Ingredients
- Condiment, cube, or tube
- Garlic - 2
- Drink or liquid
- Wine (white) - 3 tablespoon
- Herb
- Parsley - 3 tablespoon
- Parsley - 3 tablespoon
- Meat
- Pork Steak - 2
- Oil
- Olive - 1 tablespoon
Method
Pre-heat your oven to GM4.Add the olive oil to a frying pan, bring to a gently heat and add your thickly sliced garlic. Cook gently to make the flavoured oil, then remove the garlic.
Increase the heat to medium/hot and add your two pork steaks. Sear both sides, then put into the oven to finish off.
Turn down the heat, let cool, and add the parsley to the pan. After a minute, add your soured cream and gently stir. After a minute, add your white wine. Cook.
At this point, I will get my greens on...
Take your pork steaks and add them, along with all the juices they have released to the frying pan, baste the steaks, and cook.
